ARCC’s 2026 Conservation Fellows

Our latest short film.

Eweme is a Waorani hunter and grandfather who lives in a small community in the Ecuadorian Amazon, eight hours away upriver from the closest outpost. As he crafts a traditional blowpipe and teaches his grandson the ways of life in the wild, he gives us a glimpse into his deep knowledge of the forest. He’s belonged to two completely different worlds: the one before his people were contacted by missionaries, and modernity. While letting some parts of modern society in, he’s eager to preserve the traditions and way of life of his grandfathers.

Stay tuned for full film release.
