2026 ARCC Research Fellowship

The 2026 ARCC Research Fellowship supports individuals pursuing innovative research in the western Amazon Rainforest. Each year, ARCC awards $1,500 to support research that contributes to informing biological or cultural conservation from social, economic, ecological, or other relevant perspectives.
The selected research fellow will be responsible for producing a written report summarizing their project outcomes within one year of receiving the award. They will also work with ARCC to develop outreach materials (e.g., blog articles, social media posts) to disseminate their findings and importance of their work. Through this fellowship, recipients will have the opportunity to advance their career, contribute to conservation initiatives, and collaborate with ARCC to broaden their professional network and impact.

The application is open to individuals aged 18 and older, preferably with some research experience. Preferential consideration will be given to applicants from Latin America, and to projects based in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

2026 ARCC Journalism Fellowship

The 2026 ARCC Journalism Fellowship supports individuals passionate about conservation storytelling, media, and journalism. Each year, ARCC awards $1,000 to one fellow to fund fieldwork, article development, or media production. The selected fellow will produce one long-form feature to be published on ARCC’s blog, and will collaborate with ARCC to pursue publication in media outlets.
Proposed projects must address pressing conservation challenges in the western Amazon—from social, economic, ecological, or other perspectives. Through this fellowship, recipients will have the opportunity to deepen their reporting skills, expand their professional network, and amplify their impact on conservation.
